This sketchbook is mini in size and contains lighter weight paper that is not watercolor specific. It can accept light watercolor sketches, but not heavy washes. Easy to slip into a back pocket, it has the look and feel of a larger more heavy duty sketchbook, but in a wee size.
The paper in this sketchbook is made of alpha cellulose (tree pulp) is responsibly sourced from sustainably managed forests that are either FSC- or PEFC-certified. All of the electricity Hahnemühle uses is generated exclusively from renewable resources, such as wind, water, and solar energy. All scraps are returned to the production cycle, and waste is recycled. Their production process is so clean that they water used in the process does not need to be treated before being returned to its natural source.
It was the combination of thoughtful design, durability, quality, and affordability that won me over to Hahnemühle sketchbooks. Their environmental attention and policies have made me feel proud of my choice.
