We produce professional grade artisanal handmade watercolors in small and micro batches using traditional muller and slab method and the highest quality ingredients. Low or no toxicity: we do not use cadmium, cobalt, lead, mercury, or arsenic pigments

Each of our colors is a single pigment paint. No mixtures means no color mixing surprises. The pigment is bound in natural highest-grade gum arabic which we process ourselves from the raw form. We use local wild honey in our formulation to prevent cracking and overly hard paint, and to improve re-wetting. A very small amount of natural preservative is added to prevent mold growth and deter insect interest in the delicious honey. We do not add ox gall or any other dispersants, brighteners, or fillers to the paint, as we believe those are decisions that must be left to the artist. Keeping our colors as pure as possible helps to reveal the individual qualities each pigment naturally possesses. Each watercolor that we produce is completely made by hand, the traditional way with muller and slab -never machine mixed, milled, or blended. Each color also has a unique recipe that we have developed and perfected over hundreds of test batches in our pursuit of creating beautiful single pigment portable watercolors that are a joy to use.
